Visiting craft bazaars , flea markets, exhibitions is such an enriching experience not just for shopping, but the immense knowledge you get about various handlooms, handicrafts and a direct chance to interact with the artisans from different states of the country. Whenever I travel to any place, a visit to the local market is a must part of my itinerary.
I am very lucky in this regard that I belong to Jaipur, there are numerous festivals , exhibitions and cultural events that keep happening across the span of the entire year. These lend a different charm to the city and it is one of the major reasons because of which Jaipur attracts so many tourists from within and outside the country. The cotton dress I am wearing in this post is purchased from a crafts market in Jaipur for 800 bucks, i loved everything about it – the colour, print, cut and given the humid weather, it was a blessing to get rid of jeans and wear something so comfortable.
I wore it to a casual outing with friends at TaBlu, Hotel Clarks Amer Accessorised it with an Afghan style tribal necklace, pink earrings and comfortable flats.
Here are pictures from the evening-
